What goes into our perfumes matters – to us, and to you.

Our perfumes are crafted with care, using natural ingredients selected not just for their beauty, but for their integrity. Every element, from the botanical oils to the grain alcohol and water, is chosen for its purity, skin-friendliness, and sustainability.

Each fragrance contains up to 20 different natural botanical oils — some native to Aotearoa and others sourced globally from trusted, ethical producers. We’re proud that three of our perfumes are made with 100% natural ingredients and carry Ecocert® certification. One includes 50% naturals, where we've balanced sustainability and scent design thoughtfully — because not all synthetics are bad, and in some cases, they're a more environmentally responsible choice.

All our ingredients meet strict EU cosmetic safety standards. Our native plant extracts are cosmetic-grade and prepared without preservatives, using purified water and organic, palm-free vegetable glycerine. We blend them with locally sourced pure grain alcohol and distilled New Zealand water to create a clean, high-quality base that’s kind on skin and free from unnecessary additives. And of course, none of our ingredients or final products are ever tested on animals.

Production takes place at Shieling, one of New Zealand’s leading cosmetics labs. There, under the expertise of Dr Oliver Hofmann and his team, we combine top, heart, and base notes in a balanced, slow-crafted process. Each fragrance is macerated for a full month to bring out its full character before it’s bottled and boxed locally.

Sustainability doesn’t stop at the ingredients. Our packaging uses card from responsibly managed forests, printed with vegetable-based inks and minimal glue. Our bottles are screen-printed by hand at a local specialist printer, and everything we make is designed to be recycled — or treasured.

We believe in transparency, responsibility, and a love of the natural world. Every decision we make around ingredients is shaped by those values — not just to make beautiful perfumes, but to do it in a way that respects people and planet.
